Founded First Pacific Company Ltd. in the Philippines in 1981—from which MPIC traces its roots—and currently serves as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. He is also a Director of the following corporations: Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), Smart Communications Inc., Manila Electric Company (MERALCO), Maynilad Water Services Inc., Mediaquest Incorporated, Associated Broadcasting Corporation, Philex Mining Corporation, Philex Petroleum Corporation, Manila North Tollways Corporation, and Landco Pacific Corporation, to name a few. Finished Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University, cum laude. Pursued his Master of Business Administration in the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce.

Graduated Valedictorian from the Ateneo Law School in 2006 and passed the Philippine Bar Examinations in 2007 with the second highest ranking.
